Ukraine’ exhibition at the Shoah Memorial in Milan

Züst & Bachmeier was among the technical sponsors of the exhibition ‘Ukraine‘, open from 8 November 2023 to 7 January 2024.

We were delighted to sponsor the exhibition at the Shoah Memorial in Milan, curated by Maria Vittoria Baravelli, which recounts the realities of war and human resilience through the photographs of Stefano Rosselli, texts by Massimo Recalcati and music by Ferdinando Arnò. The exhibition, entitled ‘UKRAINE’ and organised by the Nobile Agency, ran from 8 November 2023 to 7 January 2024, presenting over 60 colour shots taken by Rosselli during three trips to Ukraine in 2023.

The photographs document the everyday life of those who continue to live despite the war, capturing moments of love and normality that survive the devastation. The images are accompanied by Recalcati’s texts, which explore the meaning of life during the conflict, and Arnò’s music, creating an immersive experience that aims to generate a collective consciousness and make people reflect on the themes of war and human resistance.

The exhibition is divided into two sections: a selection of 18 photographs displayed along the corridor of the Memorial depicting a faceless universal war, and an exhibition room with 45 shots documenting various aspects of life in war, focusing on those who survive and continue to live in spite of it all.

We are grateful for the continued cooperation with Nobile Agency.
